What are the benefits of Sebastian Inlet Marina?
Sebastian Inlet Marina will benefit the boating community by offering the public many benefits including boat safety courses, friendly social events, superior amenities and community involvement. Not only will we treat our members with concierge level service, we will also provide many amenities to enhance the boating experience. On-site amenities will include a captain’s lounge, with complimentary gourmet coffee, newspapers and boating publications, clean upscale restrooms, and a virtual office with fax, copy and internet access.
Sebastian Inlet Marina offers traditional marina access with modern amenities, state of the art construction, social interaction such as rendezvous and picnics, and the convenience you expect from a true boat storage facility.
Will Sebastian Inlet Marina become a designated “Clean Marina”?
As life time boaters of the Indian River Lagoon, the owner's of the marina, Ken and TP Kennedy, understand the importance of this designation and understand the impact of the "Clean Marina" designation. For this reason, once the marina is constructed, Sebastian Inlet Marina owners and staff will be committed to receiving this designation.
Do you have Wet Slips?
Yes. We will have 25 wet slips in the 30-45’ range.
What is the depth of the marina or approach to the marina at low tide?
The marina plans to be dredged to 5 feet at mean low water.
Do you have Dry Storage?
Yes. Sebastian Inlet Marina will have 240 dry storage racks which will be fully enclosed in our newly constructed building. Our dry storage racks will accommodate boats up to 40 feet in length.
Will we rent boats?
We will not be renting boats but if you are interested in a charter boat, we will assist you in making arrangements and charters may come into our marina to pick up clients. We will also assist you in locating local rental boat companies.
How do I get to Sebastian Inlet Marina?
You can access Sebastian Inlet Marina off the ICW. From the south enter the Intracoastal Waterway utilizing the Sebastian Inlet (fixed bridge with 32’ clearance). Head north and approximately ½ mile north of the San Sebastian bridge. We are on the west side of the river and close to channel marker number 58. Turn west and the marina is located straight ahead due east .
Directions from the North, we are in the process of acquiring these directions.
What will the hours be for Sebastian Inlet Marina?
We are open from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm seven days a week. Sebastian Inlet Marina will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and New Years Day.
What do we do if there is an emergency after hours?
The marina office phones are forwarded nightly to the Harbor Master cell phone number. We will request that you call only in the event of an emergency. If the incident involves an injury or the law is being broken, please dial 911. A call to the marina office is also appreciated.
What is the closest airport?
Melbourne International Airport is less than 30 miles from the Marina and is roughly a 35 minute drive.
Will we allow live-aboards?
Currently, our submerged land lease does not accomodate for live-aboards. For this reason, we will not be able to allow live-aboards at this time.
Will we offer new or used boat sales?
We are negotiations to have an onsite tenant that will offer new and used boat sales. Please feel free to contact our Harbor Master for assistance regarding sales, boat rentals, charters or other leasing opportunities.
Will you sell gas or diesel?
Sebastian Inlet Marina plans to sells mid-grade marine gasoline and marine diesel. We will also offer our Members a discount on fuel.
Will we sell bait?
We plan to sell frozen bait on site. Our Ship Store will carry boating essentials including soda, beer, ice and soft goods such as hats, t-shirts, sweatshirts and jackets.
Are there any good fishing locations near you?
Fishing out of the Sebastian Inlet is arguably the best fishing spot in the world. From the winter sailfish, the spring mahi-mahi runs and unheralded kingfish bite, the Atlantic Ocean provides many fishing opportunities. Offshore fishing includes: Dolphin, Marlin, Sailfish, Grouper, Snapper, Kingfish, Cobia, Wahoo, Bluefish and assorted sharks. In addition, fishing the Sebastian Inlet bridge or navigating the Indian River Lagoon, many favorite catches including Pompano, Jacks, Croaker, Tarpon and Snapper are found in abundance.
Will you have an on-site pump-out service?
We will be offering pump-out equipment on site. Please check with the Harbor Master for pump-out options.
How far away is the beach?
The nearest beach is located in Wabasso, FL next to the Disney Resort. The beach is approximately 10 miles from the marina. Go south on US1 to 510 and make a left, then head east, until you arrive at the beach.
Are there any restaurants on the water that we can get to?
Captain Hiram's and Squid Lips are located 4 minutes south of the Marina just beyond the small San Sebastian Bridge. Waterway signs are available.
Are there any fixed bridges in the area and if so, what is the height limit?
The only fixed bridge in the area is the Sebastian Inlet bridge. It has an 32’ vertical clearance at Mean High Water.
